Welcome!
I'm Vanessa Kapadia, the creative mind behind the It's That Time Of Year series. As a mother of two, I understand the challenges of being constantly busy and the need for simple yet engaging ways to keep your kids entertained and connected to their culture. This was one of my main drivers for creating this series.
Growing up outside of India, I struggled to learn about festivals and traditions due to the lack of English resources. I didn't want my children to face the same challenge, so I created a book series that educates about our rich culture, festivals, and traditions whilst keeping children entertained with fun and interactive games.

If you're looking for a way to teach your children about Diwali, this book is a must have! It explains the different days of Diwali, has a catchy rhyme and my daughter's favourite part is finding all the key items. It's so beautiful to see my daughter now recognising Indian traditions like rangoli and the different sweets. This book is a wonderful way to ensure our children feel represented in books, which was lacking when I grew up.
